As a Church of England school we have high expectations of our children and staff’s behaviour and consequently all members of our school community respect and care for each other equally in all aspects of school life. Our core values of Respect, Friendship, Caring and Responsibility are reflected in our school motto of Peace, Prayer and Wings to Fly. We encourage our children to have high expectations of themselves in both their learning and behaviour.

At Caston VA Primary School all children are valued, encouraged and supported to achieve the best that they can, and families are highly valued as partners in their children’s education.

Caston School is committed to serving its community and surrounding areas. It recognises the multi cultural, multi faith and ever-changing nature of the United Kingdom, and therefore those it serves. It also understands the vital role it has in ensuring that groups or individuals within the school are not subjected to intimidation or radicalisation by those wishing to unduly, or illegally, influence them

Welcome back to the Autumn term. I hope you have all had a wonderful Summer holiday and enjoyed spending time with your children, families and friends.

We are delighted to have Mrs Nelson as our new deputy head and to welcome Mr Halmshaw as the class teacher for Years 3 and 4 this year and Ms Carter as the new reception teacher. Mr Halmshaw is also the SENCO for the federation.

Already we have a diary of dates which you will find on the website, including the Meet and Greet sessions and the Parent Evenings and KS1 performance dates.

All of our staff have returned ready for yet another exciting year and we are all looking forward to the continued fantastic support that you as parents have given to us and your children. Here’s to a great 2016-2017.
