Ofsted
Delighted to be an Ofsted 'GOOD' school!
In 2020, Caston CofE Primary re-opened as a new Academy as part of the Diocese of Norwich Education & Academies Trust (DNEAT) and so there have been no historic Ofsted reports to view. We welcomed our first inspection visit on 13 & 14 September 2023 and are delighted to have been awarded 'GOOD' status.
The inspectors recognised our ‘high ambitions for pupils’ academic and social development’ and gave credit for how ‘inclusive’ we are. They praised the curriculum as ‘ambitious’ and the children for ‘welcom[ing] new pupils to the school warmly’.
I am grateful to everyone across the school community – staff, children, families, governors, volunteers and other supporters – for their ongoing support. It really is valued and makes all the difference.
If you are looking for schooling options for your child, I encourage you to not just read our report but come and see us. Ofsted is a snapshot which will help you to compare schools, but visiting in person gives you a different experience: the chance to ask questions, get a feel for our school community and see how happy and settled the children are here. We have open events throughout the year, or you can arrange with our School Secretary another time that is convenient to you. New pupils are welcomed at any point in the year and we'd love to meet you.
